Signs Of Cheating Spouse, What Now?

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

You’ve noticed several signs of spouse cheating, what will you do now? Are you going to be willing to work through the trust issues to save your marriage? Or will you be more willing to shove that spouse out of your life and move on to another?

Of course we all hate to even think that our spouse may be touching another person. But couples do experience infidelity. Wouldn’t you want to know before all your friends know that your spouse is out with another person? Or will you choose to be a person who will see signs of spouse cheating and ignore them?

Does everything you talk about turn into a fight. Once things that you could joke about are now a way to lead into a fight that ends with your spouse leaving? These signs of spouse cheating can encompass many things, but that doesn’t mean if you see one or two they are positively cheating. Look for many and don’t jump to a conclusion.

If your spouse comes home and they have a scent on them, cologne for a woman or perfume for a man. They may have not taken enough precaution in making sure they don’t get caught. A sure sign of spouse cheating is another’s scent on them. It could even be a soap that you don’t use at home.

Has your spouse decided to join a gym? Though it should be said that this could be a way they want to stay healthy. There may be a bit of signs of spouse cheating in this too. Are they just getting into shape to stay healthy, or are they even going to the gym. It’s a great excuse, one that you may never even check into. An hour or two at the gym, or that time spent with a lover?

Did your wife come in with a necklace you’ve never seen? Or maybe your husband is sporting new cologne you didn’t buy? These could be a gift from a lover. They may not be 100% positively from a lover, but the chances are if your spouse doesn’t normally buy these types of things.

How about the good old lack of wearing that wedding ring? If nothing should scream I’m hiding something, this is a sure signs of spouse cheating. Or is it? Yes maybe they have out grown the ring, getting fatter over years can do that. But why not go and get it resized. When you notice a spouse is not wearing their wedding ring, start watching more closely. See how often you notice that band on their hand.

Finally, signs of spouse cheating are never easy to deal with. As you begin to see more and more signs it will become tough. In fact many people may start to ignore the signs instead. Leaving themselves open to more heartache when it finally comes out in the open. It’s not something that you hope people will notice in their spouse.

Stopping Divorce is a Process of Love

Friday, May 14th, 2010

This is the start of a great new episode in your marriage, one that isn’t loaded with misunderstandings and petty quarrels. Say to yourself each day…I love my spouse and I really want to make this work.

4 Stop Divorce Tips

Do Things With Love

One thing to remember is that marriages aren’t jobs and one of the simplest ways to wreck a marriage is by making everything feel like an obligation. It is important to find the give-and-take balance in your relationship but everything should be done willingly and from the heart.

Can you remember back to the time when you were head-over-heels in love and couldn’t get enough of one another? You spoke passionately about marriage and the life you would have together. Nothing was more important than being bonded together in holy matrimony. You’d never have thought that a day would come when you couldn’t even sleep in the same bed together because you’re the one always cleaning the house & your spouse can’t even get the trash out..

Whenever doing nice things for your spouse, it’s for the reason that you love them and want nothing but joy for them. It’s not right to be managing a mental list of all the amazing things you’ve done and all the things that haven’t been done for you. Every relationship takes work, but it needn’t feel like work.

Stop Nagging

We all know what nagging sounds like. Men and women are equally guilty of this. Wives hate extended working hours, leaving unclean clothes on the ground, the amount of time spent on sports TV and drinking or failing to spend worthwhile time with the family. Meanwhile, husbands complain about their wife spending too much time over the telephone or getting ready, and they nag about their nagging wife! A quick way to fix marriage issues is to merely to stop nagging. Know that protesting will do nothing helpful.

If there’s something you dislike about your partner or their actions, try finding the root of the concern first. Figure out why this worries you and why they act that way. Could you be at fault ? What things can you do to help the situation? What adjustments are you willing to make? Ask yourself, What can I do to mend this relationship? Make sure you’re rational and then go to your partner and talk it over. Excessive complaining can cause great conflict to your relationship.

Think Before Speaking

Whenever you are feeling angry or bitter, try to remember that saying spiteful or hurtful things will not repair your marriage problems. It will only make the problem worse. You should think before speaking as words, once said aloud, can’t be retracted. Will putting down your partner do you any good in the long run? Of course not! There’s no reason for unkind words to come out at all.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to confront your partner about the things that are bothering you. But, do so after you cool down and you’re able to discuss the issues sensibly.

Mending a marriage is never one-sided. For a thriving marriage to be possible, both partners need to have a mutual desire to do compromises and see the other spouse happy. No mountain will be too high to climb as long as this loyalty stays true in your heart.

Avoid Verbal Abuse

Be cautious and avoid verbally abusing your spouse. Words tend to be destructive, especially in a marriage. If you’re the type of person who loses their temper easily and is prone to lash out at your spouse, you need to shift your behavior immediately. Sooner or later, the harsh words will take an emotional toll…either to you or your partner. You might feel that they were “just words” and forget you had even said them but I promise you, your spouse will definitely not.

For the person who receives the abusing words, the sword of unkind words can wound deeply and be very hard to forget. Verbal abuse of any kind must be controlled if  you wish to fix the problems between you and your spouse.

These are a few of many examples of what can tear a marriage apart. These behaviors are hurtful, as well as disrespectful. If you love your spouse, why would you want to hurt or disrespect them? If you really to save your marriage without divorce, then question yourself if there are things you are doing to your relationship akin to the above examples. If the answer is yes, do whatever is in your power to make necessary changes. Your marriage will respond with thanks!

What Can Help Save My Marriage?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Read more about this topic here: How can I help save my marriage.

A question like ‘What can help save my marriage?’ can be best answered by you alone. You can seek help from family and friends but finally, you will need to work it out yourself. Giving up too soon is the easiest thing to do but if you can make the effort to save your marriage, the benefits and satisfaction will be far greater than the hard work. What is most important is that first you must be sure in your heart that you do wish to continue with your partner though. Unless you are really committed to keeping your marriage intact, hard work won’t reap any results.

Most marriages break up because of false assumptions about your partner’s needs and expression of your own needs. Communication is the biggest key to saving a marriage. Modern lifestyle makes communication far easier than ever before even if both partners have a hectic work timetable. You can stay in touch through the day with instant messaging services, emails and cell phones. Even if partners work in different cities and meet only on weekends, there is always video chat via the Internet. The better the communication is between spouses, the greater are the chances of the marriage lasting.

‘Made in heaven’ and ‘Made for each other’ epithets work fine in movies and at parties but in the daily grind you have to make effort along with your partner to keep home, hearth and marriage together. No amount of effort is wasted if you use it to smoothen out problems in your marriage.

When you do have communication problems with your partner, seeking professional counseling is mandatory. Sitting down with an expert and discussing things will help both the partners see things in a clearer light and possibly help them find solutions that they would not have been on their own. The maturity and experience of a counselor can help save a marriage.

Sometimes your marriage may be on the rocks because of an abusive habit of your partner. If it is drugs do not delay medical help. But remember forcing your partner will not help. You will need to be gentle. If there is a psychiatric problem that your partner is suffering from, try and help him or her understand that medical help would improve their life and you are not condemning them in any manner. Offer them confidence and support. Base your suggestions on trust. You may seek help from friends and family without making your partner feeling ridiculed.

Reflection – Friends and family can help you but ultimately it’s you who will have to figure out how to save your marriage. Take out time to sit back and analyze what is wrong in the first place. Are your demands too many or your partner is too demanding? Try and analyze in a fair manner without overlooking your own faults. Often, even if you think your partner is driving you nuts, there may be things that you could be doing to upset him as well. Once you start changing yourself and it becomes evident to your partner that you are trying to improve yourself, you will be surprised to see how fast they start making a similar effort.

Jealousy and envy are two emotions you should immediately get rid of in a marriage. Do not let others dictate to you what you should be doing in your marriage. Seek advice and help from close friends but do not let them run the marriage for you. Often, marriages break up because of jealousy and comparisons with other couples without focus on the uniqueness of your own marriage and the special talents of your spouse. Do not let nosey relatives give you ideas or interfere with how you function in your marriage.

Mechanics of marriage – Understand the basic purpose of marriage. A marriage works more like a base camp where both the partners seek solace and rejuvenation before pursuing their independent dreams and ambitions. They come together to nurture each other and then keep space between themselves. They raise a family together without killing each other’s identity. Once you are clear on this front and do not view your partner as a means to your fulfilling your needs alone, you will be able to maintain a harmonious relationship and save your marriage.

Use Effective Communication To Fix A Marriage

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

I think this article will also be of interest to you: Fix a marriage

The key to a successful relationship is knowing how to communicate. In a marriage, communication is important since a couple should act as a single entity when deciding on certain situations. But because a couple is composed of two different individuals, it can’t be avoided that misunderstandings will occur. However, when one learns how to communicate appropriately, these misunderstandings are greatly lessened. When you want to fix a marriage, you can surely benefit from the tips provided below.

The best way to describe communication in a marriage is that it is a street that goes both ways. This just means that the couple should have their own inputs on the situation to have proper communication in a marriage. Aside from making grocery lists together, couples should also share to one another their worries and joys. By doing this, the marriage is being strengthened.

Effective communication in a marriage makes both parties feel secure and contented about where they stand. But you should know that communication is more than just speaking your mind. To effectively communicate, you also have to listen. Active listening skills are important in a marriage because you will never understand what your partner is saying until you truly listen to them.

Putting so much effort into proving one’s point is often the pitfall of most marriages. All talk is a bad thing for a marriage. Since a marriage is composed of two persons, each one has to listen to the other to get to a common understanding. When you show your partner that you are concerned about what they feel by listening to them, you are paving the way for compromise as a way to fix a marriage.

Active listening doesn’t only mean hearing what is being said. You also have to observe your partner while she is explaining. Make sure you maintain eye contact and reiterate her concerns once she’s done so that both of you are in the same level of understanding of the situation. Only when you know that you get her point should you offer your side of the story. Don’t give any unsolicited remarks to her because this is where miscommunication can occur.

Finding the time to communicate is also a challenge. With the demands of today’s society, it is almost impossible to find time for the things we love, much more communicate. Still if you give importance to your marriage, you should set aside time for you to openly talk with your partner. The timing of which doesn’t really matter as long as you have the time to talk.

Even happy marriages are faced with difficult challenges but these couples just know how to properly communicate with each other, which is why their concerns get addressed right away. By learning the correct ways to fix a marriage, a compromise will surely be reached in every issue faced.

Marriage is a big word and the responsibility that comes with it is even bigger. Those that are in troubled marriages should do everything in their power to save their marriage. If developing proper communication skills is not the answer to fix a marriage, then going to a marriage counselor might help. As much as possible, separation should be the last option when it comes to a marriage.

Working Through That Marriage Conflict

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Click here and read this: Marriage conflict

Is there really a way in which you can permanently end marriage conflict? Well probably not completely cut it out, but make it less of a problem yes. First and most important is to make sure you are marrying for the right reason, and the right person.

Marriage is not an easy undertaking, that’s why marriage conflict arises at times. But if you have truly found the right mate for you, it will make your time together more desirable and less marriage conflict will arise. So many people will wonder how do you know it’s the right person.

So how do you work through a marriage conflict? Well one thing is you have to talk. You can’t just let it go if you realize you have a problem, and you can’t be scared to tell your spouse either. Communication is such a huge factor of whether your marriage will last or not. If you can talk to your spouse about anything, you shouldn’t have a problem when a little marriage conflict comes up.

Seeing such high divorce rates for first time marriages is not only surprising but in a sense shocking. It’s always been said that divorce is so high, but when you look at it that way it makes you wonder even more. Though for a first time marriage in Australia only 40% of those end in divorce. They must be doing something a bit better than the others.

If it was the divorce rates would be much lower, in fact for first time marriages in Canada and the US, 50% will end in divorce. While on the other side of the world Japan only shows a 27% divorce rate? Why is it so different? What do they do differently? Yes the cultures are completely opposite, but how can it have such a huge effect?

But could it be because of the upbringing of our children that leads to more marriage conflicts and higher rates of divorce? Think of it, women who are raised in the US and Canada, do not bow down to men as much as a Japanese women is taught.

Not saying as a woman that we shouldn’t stand up for what is right, but do we do it too often and let those marriage conflicts get the best of us? Well obviously I’m not an expert at marriage, but it is a bit funny how the rates do look. But much more research would need to be done, because there are many things a woman from Japan may put up with that aren’t good too.

The same can be said for a person who knows another is acting a certain way and not being themselves. Don’t be so blind that you will allow this to happen; you need to accept the good and bad of a spouse. Marriage conflict will not just go away and you will need to work it out.
